Family support fun days July/August 2013

Five Rivers Ireland ran two family support days over the summer - one in Connemara and one in Wicklow.  The families and young people had  enjoyable  days where they relaxed and took part in a walk and various activities with each other. The team at Five Rivers Ireland were able to support and introduce the families to each other to enjoy mutual support and give all involved a break from the hussle and bustle of everyday life.

Education Workshops

Five Rivers will be running  workshops with Marie Delaney, Educational Psychotherapist, in Dublin, Cork and Carlow in September and November.

This workshop will look at the effects of loss, trauma, neglect and disrupted early attachments on learning behaviour and emotional development. The workshop will also look at practical and fun ways in which we can support children in their educational development and participation in school. Marie Delaney is highly accomplished and an expert in her field.
